Sesquiterpene lactones and other chemical constituents of Mikania hoehnei R.

Abstract

Phytochemical study of Mikania hoehnei yielded lupeyl acetate, stigmasterol, b-sitosterol, campesterol, b-sitosteryl glucopyranoside, stigmasteryl glucopyranoside, benzil 2,6-dimethoxybenzoate, luteolin, kaempferol and two sesquiterpene lactones: dehydrocostuslactone and 8b-hydroxyzaluzanin D. IR, ¹H and 13C NMR and MS spectroscopic analyses and comparisons with previously reported data were used for the identification of these compounds.
