Professional satisfaction of nurses

Aim: To examine different aspects of job satisfaction among nurses in health centres in Belgrade. Methods: The study included 261 nurses, employed in two health centers. For data collecting was used questionnaire which was anonymous. Results: A considerable number of nurses were more satisfied than dissatisfied with interpersonal relationships, monthly income, training opportunities, autonomy in the workplace, and current equipment. Nurses were satisfied with the fulfillment of certain factors of job satisfaction by health institutions in the following order: training opportunities, current equipment, good interpersonal relationships, monthly income, and autonomy in the workplace. Conclusion: Nurses were more satisfied than dissatisfied with their job. The leading factor of job satisfaction of nurses in regard to the level of its fulfillment by the health institution is training opportunities.
