This article approaches Protestants’ printing press bound for and in Brazil during their first century of missionary work (from 1830s on). Its aim is identify who were in charge of such publications – whether individuals or institutions – and the way by which they were financed and distributed as well. After researching and analyzing such information, we may conclude that there was a tendency to nationalization of production and financing of those publications, whose entrepreneurship was gradually took on by the Brazilians who engaged in Protestant cults.
