Enterprise 2.0 As a Foundation of Front / Back Organization and Knowledge Management
Abstract
The possibility of implementing a front/back organizational structure with knowledge management through a Enterprise 2.0 is discussed and analyzed. We show how to apply Enterprise 2.0 methods and technologies for successful communication and knowledge sharing between different levels in a front/back environment as well as a customent relationship management facility for the front (customer oriented) organizational unit. By analyzing best practices in common corporations with such an organizational form, we conclude that Enterprise 2.0 is not just a suitable ICT and organizational platform for the implementation of such an organizational form but more a fondation for success. In the end we present a model of implementing a front/back and strategic organization by using knowledge management and Enterprise 2.0 technologies.
