Determinación del precio de las 25 pesetas de Alfonso XII comunes
Abstract
This article analyzes the data of seventy-eight auctions carried out between 2006 and 2016 and studies how often the coins of 25 peseta of Alfonso XII appear in relation to the total of the lots auctioned and the lots of the Centenary. Next it is studied if the frequency of appearance of each type of coin corresponds with the levels of minting. The correlation is also presented between the change in gold price and the percentage of common coins not sold and the change in gold price and the percentage of units sold by the mode of the price. Finally, a model to estimate the price is developed taking into account the price of the ounce of gold and its variation, the year of coinage, the state of conservation and the presence of all numbers in both stars. With this model, hat explains 87.2% of the price variation, it is estimated the price in the last auction to assess the accuracy of results.
