Long Noncoding RNA UCA1 Promotes the Proliferation, Invasion, and Migration of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Cells via Modulation of miR-145 [Retraction]

Wu J, Du M, Zhang Q, et al. Onco Targets Ther. 2018;11:7483–7492. We, the Editors and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy, have retracted the following article. Since publication, concerns have been raised about the integrity of the data in the article. This includes the duplication of images from Figures 2 and 4. Specifically, The images for Figure 2E, CNE-2, Migration, si-UCA1 and Invasion, siRNA-NC, have been duplicated with the images for Figure 4C, CNE-2, Migration, Inhibitor NC+si-UCA1 and Inhibitor NC+siRNA-NC, respectively. The images for Figure 4C, 5–8 F, Migration and Invasion, Inhibitor NC+si-UCA1, have been duplicated. When approached for an explanation, the authors did not respond to our queries, nor did they provide original data for their study. As the findings could not be verified the Editor and Publisher made the decision to retract the article and the authors were notified of this. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
