El cyborg como dispositivo de resistencia al biopoder en Impuesto a la carne (2010) y Fuerzas especiales (2013) de Diamela Eltit
Abstract
This article analyse the construction of the bodies of the main female characters of Damiela Eltit novels Impuesto a la carne (2010) and Fuerzas especiales (2013). It is argued that these bodies are cyborgs that are generated thanks to immanent joints with biomedical, informatics and scriptural technologies, the human and the biopower. The article focuses on the description of germ resistance strategies developed by these cyborg bodies, which are sustained on the promises of creation and regeneration of alternative virtual spaces to those predisposed by hegemonic powers. In Impuesto a la carne (2010) this virtual space is materialized through a deed of an alternative chronicle to the official Chilean History, and, in Fuerzas especiales (2013), with the creation of the first videogame of the national scene. From this perspective, these disruptive and constantly reforming bodies, are bio political agents that try different forms of existence within a system dominated by normalizing powers.
