O trabalho do negativo e a transmissão psíquica

Abstract

This paper initially discusses the concept of the negative in psychoanalysis, from the point of view of Andre Green, pointing at both its pathological and structuring aspects that contribute to the process of psychic constitution. Next it emphasizes the importance of the work of the negative for the investigation of transgenerational psychic transmission especially in the case of negated and non-representational contents which are psychically transmitted through generations, in a similar way as the object that doesn´t allow to be forgotten, damaging the psychic sphere. In those instances we are dealing with the failure of the structuring function of the negative which can be represented by the defensive aspect of the denegative pact, in certain narcissistic contracts and telescoping of generations.
