Caractéristiques sémantiques du genre de discours de la caricature : analyse d’un corpus international de six caricaturistes

Abstract

The study focuses on the semantic characteristics of caricatures. The analysis of an international corpus, including works by six caricaturists, shows that these authors use different language processes (verbal and iconic). The richness of these processes and the way in which they are used lead to the conclusion that caricatures constitute one of the most interesting genres to be analysed and used as a teaching material.
