Narrativas del cine sobre el viaje migratorio mexicano: Lenguaje simbólico y realidad social

Abstract

Films about Mexican migration to the United States that originally appeared in the forties have evolved in their process as artistic and communicative texts. This work analyzes six films, viewed as literary works that are representative of migration films with the objective of interpreting the key elements that build their social discourse and their symbolic dimension, which together configure the social imaginary about the Mexican-American migratory context.
