La polysémie et le sens virtuel
Abstract
Starting from the theory of lexical polysemy, in particular the concept of Ch. Cusimano and the term of semic application characteristics, implemented by him, this article takes the semantic virtuality under consideration in terms of microstructure and interpretation. The typology of virtual features proposed in this article includes potential and neutralized features, with a special attention paid to the first category, comprising of alternative elements of meaning. The most important among these are the potentially context characteristics, which can be distinguished by the relation of analogy to the contextual (afferent) characteristics actually updated in the discourse.
