“JUDICIAL INVESTIGATOR” IN THE RUSSIAN DETECTIVE LITERATURE OF 1860-1880 FROM ALEXANDER SHKLYAREVSKY TO CHEKHOV
Abstract
This article traces the development trajectory of the detective genre in Russian literature. The direct object of analysis is the image of a judicial investigator, examined on the basis of a vast corpus of literary texts. Interpretation of works of literature is provided with biographical data, which form the basis of the «vertical context».
