Results of monitoring of xylophilous beetles with pheromone traps in the Botanical Garden of PetrSU
Abstract
The taxonomic list of xylophilous hardflies recorded in the Botanical Garden of PetrSU contains 17 species from 8 families. Insects were collected using barrier traps with aggregation pheromones synthesized by FGBU VNIIKR (bark beetle Ips typographus, common grazer Pityogenes chalcographus and moustache genera Monochamus) during 2018-2021. The family Bark beetles (Scolytidae) is the most numerous in terms of species and number of species. Among them, numerous species include Crypturgus pusillus, Hylurgops palliatus, Ips typographus and Pityogenes chalcographus. In the orchard, these species actively damage conifers in natural stands; no pests have been recorded on introduced plants (genera Abies Mill., Juniperus L., Larix Mill.).
