Purpose: The purpose is to justify the possibility of considering environment as a factor and means of students’ professional development in higher education system on the basis of the scientific literature analysis that reveals the issues of students’ professional development in the system of higher education. The research lies in the field of the environmental approach in education. Methodology: Theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical, sociological and philosophical literature, mental modeling. Results: The logic of consideration of the environment is presented and proved as factor of professional formation of the student embroider schools from positions of environmental approach in education. Practical implications: system of higher education.
