Background. An approach to the problem of detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is given. Possible options for building a multi-position radar station (MP radar) for detecting UAVs using signals from transmitters located on balloons are considered. Materials and methods. Several options for constructing multi-position systems are proposed, depending on the number of receiving positions and the transmitters used. An algorithm for estimating the coordinates of a detected object in a separate multi-frequency radar system with a receiving position and several different types of transmitters of a multi-position radar located on balloons is considered. Results and conclusions. The choice of the structure, scheme for constructing the MP radar, as well as the method for determining the coordinates of a flying target has been made.
