This research analyses the attitude of managers of hotel establishments before a new reality: the expansion of tourism from people with disabilities. For the assessment of the attitudes, the following items were taken into account: the cognitive component (beliefs), the affective component, the behavioral intention, and the behavior. The sample consisted of 81 establishments (hotels and inns) in two touristic towns in the state of Minas Gerais. The research method adopted was the transverse survey. It was observed that the managers have doubts concerning the disabilities and tend to agree with the concept of disability based on the assumptions of inclusion. The actions performed in the establishments are the ones requiring less financial investment. The awareness of the legislation governing people with disabilities in tourism favors the actions of adaptation of the assistance conditions and procedures. It was verified that the bigger the perception of the benefits of the insertion of people with disabilities, the bigger the actions of adaptation of the assistance procedures.
