Influence of shape factor on flow of magneto-nanofluid squeezed between parallel disks
Abstract
This manuscript deals with time dependent squeezed flow of magneto-nanofluid between two parallel disks. The effects of viscous dissipation are also taken into consideration. Base is suspended with nanoparticles of various shapes. Three different shaped nanoparticles are suspended in the base fluid. Hamilton and Crosser’s model for effective thermal conductivity of the nanofluid has been considered for the analysis. For dynamic viscosity, Brinkman model is used. The suitable similarity transforms are used to transform the equations governing the flow into a set of ordinary differential equations. Three techniques are used to solve the resulting system, namely Adomian’s decomposition method (ADM), Variation of parameters method (VPM) and Runge-Kutta numerical method. The comparison between solutions has been made and found an excellent agreement. The influence of varying flow parameters on velocity and temperature fields is also portrayed graphically. The numerical values for skin fraction and local heat transfer are calculated for emerging parameters. Furthermore, the values for some constants appeared in the analytical solutions are also found for different parameters.
