El Primado romano en la Península Ibérica hasta el siglo X: Un análisis historiográfico = Roman Papal Primacy in the Iberian Peninsula until the Tenth Century. An Examination of the Scholarship
Abstract
La historiografía sobre la acción del Primado romano en la Península Ibérica antes del siglo X presenta notables divergencias interpretativas partiendo de un conjunto de fuentes relativamente escaso. En este trabajo se analizan los principales temas historiográfícos desarrollados en relación con esta materia, con el objeto de ofrecer el estado actual de las investigaciones.Based on a relatively small set of sources there are manifold divergent interpretations in the scholarship of the Roman Papal Primate’s activity in the Iberian Peninsula prior to the tenth century. This study analyzes the main historiographical issues with the purpose of establishing the current status of research.
