La lectura lúdica: su influencia en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños y las niñas

Abstract

El tema seleccionado tiene pertinencia y actualidad, se trata de la lectura lúdica y su influencia en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños. Es objetivo de este trabajo: valorar la influencia de la lectura lúdica en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños de la Parroquia Riochico, del cantón Portoviejo. Durante el proceso investigativo se emplearon métodos, tales como: análisis documental, análisis histórico-lógico, inductivo-deductivo, observación participativa, encuestas y la técnica de la composición. La muestra fue seleccionada intencionalmente, participaron las cuatro bibliotecarias que laboran en la institución y los 126 niños que asisten con frecuencia a la biblioteca, comprendidos entre 4 y 11 años. Como principales hallazgos se reconoce insuficientes hábitos lectores por parte de esta localidad en sentido general, poco conocimiento de las potencialidades que puede brindar la biblioteca para favorecer el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños, poco aprovechamiento de la biblioteca zonal como centro cultural más importante de la comunidad. Como parte de la investigación se crearon actividades para favorecer la lectura lúdica y su influencia en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños de esta parroquia, que resultaron de mucha aceptación por parte de bibliotecarias y niños en general. The objective of this work is: to diagnose the influence of playful reading on the cognitive development of children in the Rio Chico Parish, in the Portoviejo canton. During the research process, methods were used, such as: documentary analysis, historical-logical, inductive-deductive analysis, participatory observation, surveys and the composition technique. The sample was selected intentionally, the four librarians who work in the institution and the 126 children who frequently attend the library, between 4 and 11 years old, participated. As main findings, insufficient reading habits are recognized by this town in a general sense, little knowledge of the potential that the library can offer to favor the cognitive development of children, little use of the zonal library as the most important cultural center of the community. As part of the research, activities were created to promote playful reading and its influence on the cognitive development of the boys and girls of this parish, which were highly accepted by librarians and children in general.
