The present work is carried out with the purpose of giving answer to the possible presence ofintercrystalline corrosion and its future consequences in the built tubes of stainless steel 304L anddedicated to the conduction from the water to the boilers of a combined cycle of electricity production. The plant is these in this moments in installation of process investor and assembly and this study wasrequested since during the trial of installation of the pipes of stainless steel that will drive the watertried to the steam generators, they were detected on the part of the operatives some imperfections inthe material, what generated the doubt about the possibility of presence of intercrystalline corrosion orof another type in the pipes. After the realized rehearsals according to international norms and alsousing rehearsals metallography you concludes that the material employee is not sensitive to this typeof corrosion.
