Static Movement Interior Design Between Orientation And Identity

Abstract

We can see the greatness of Almighty Allah in creating the nature around us as everything in the universe is moving, movement is the life. Allah created the human in continuous movement seeing all the creature around him moving and also all natural phenomenon are in continuous movement in a way keeping the balance of the universe. Human can feel the movement in interior spaces as a result for the change and movement of some elements in interior spaces; that change can be in shape, place, form, direction, and size, which is known the dynamic movement. Human can also feel the movement in interior space as a result of changeability or repetition of areas, colors; besides designing lines that give the impression of movement and this is known as the static movement where human needs to feel balance between stillness and movement that creates the feeling of life.Movement is the feature of modern life that led a lot of designers to express it through their works especially with the availability of modern technology. Despite this development, the designs lack identity. Therefore, the problem of the research is how to achieve harmony between dynamic and static movement in interior space with emphasizing its identity. The research aims at merging between dynamic and staticmovements in interior spaces to achieve a dynamic renewable interior design following the changing nature of human and achieving the feeling of identity and belonging. The importance of the research is getting interior spaces full of vitality and compatible with human activities, rapid developments and emphasizing human believes. The research supposes that there is a positive relationship between merging dynamic and static movements in interior space and the increase of feeling active and vital. In addition, there is a positive relationship between feeling dynamic interior spaces through items of interior design and quality of activities done by human and feeling of belonging. This is through an analytical study for interior spaces to emphasize identity and feel of belonging and happiness.
