The Italian law 107/15 has promoted a kind of “genetic mutation“ into the national education system, thereby leading to a shift towards a business-like and dirigiste background. The human capital paradigm has been hazely and dangerously applied, while the human development paradigm would more properly fit the cooperative and democratic attitude of any educational context. School community should revise its own mission by historical awareness and proactive outlook. Previous reforms shall not be abolished all at once, as happened in the past. For instance, innovative methods in continuing education for teachers and the promotion of school autonomy are remarkable opportunities opened up by the law 107/15, to be taken in account for further discussion.
