The Medical Emergency Services at the “Centrale Operativa 118” in Turin have outlined training programs so that all new personnel may reach high standards of competence, clinical experience and update these accordingly by optimising whatever resources are available. The recommendation are based on the staff’s entire involvement in sharing objectives and methodologies. It takes into account a training period in the three nursing work stations which follow specific programs and protocols. Educational and training programs are carried out by professional Nurse Teacher Instructors who are fully and totally qualified to ensure and promote the proper functioning of the course. Furthermore, they must also work out a supporting program for the group since this would clearly establish professional competence standards which need to be pursued.
