The teaching-learning process of foreign languages in the Cuban universities constitutes a fundamental aspect in the training of professionals. Nowadays, our country is involved in a transformation process in which learning English is vital to demonstrate the professional competence of university graduates in every field. The Revolutionary Armed Forces are also inserted in this process of changes, particularly the specialty of Military Intelligence, which requires a training process that includes the ability of determining and processing oral and written information related to the professional background, with the objective of becoming students capable of making deep critical judgments and managing procedures, strategies, techniques and autonomy attitudes. This research aims at characterizing the teaching-learning process of English for Professional Purposes for Military Intelligence and its dynamics specifically in speaking from the epistemological view point.
