In Cu-EDTA wastewater treatment,due to the complex structure and stable nature of metal-organic complexes,it is necessary to rely on advanced oxidation technology to break complexes and degrade them in order to achieve green and efficient treatment effects.This work listed six common advanced oxidative complex-breaking treatment technologies, namely, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, ozone, Fenton, activated persulfate and discharge plasma, and the advantages and shortcomings of different technologies were compared and analyzed.Meanwhile,the advanced oxidation complex-breaking co-processing technologies in recent years were introduced.Their optimization, enhancement and technological applications were summarized.Besides, the exploration direction of advanced oxidation technology in the research of Cu-EDTA decomplexation was outlooked, and the importance of degradation mechanism research, joint technology development and practical engineering application was emphasized, which could provide a reference for advanced oxidative decomplexation treatments of Cu-EDTA wastewater.
