Considering the scope of the course area of operation management and the importance of professional practice during the process of academic education, the study investigates the junior company contribution to the entrepreneurial training of management students. A literature and field research was conducted, from a quantitative survey approach, in junior companies active in the city of Teresina PI. The survey results showed that the entrepreneurial training of surveyed students may be related, significantly, with the personal development during graduation and aspects of leadership and the delegation of responsibilities. To circumvent the limitations of this study, it is recommended that further investigations broaden the sample and consider a longitudinal approach, to grasp the educational process favored by junior companies. Aware of the influence that the entrepreneurial experience may raise, it is believed that the investigation work out a research path that marks the presence of the junior company in academia, especially in the confrontation of entrepreneurship as theory and as practice.
