Síntese e complexidade no pensamento geográfico / Synthesis and Complexity in Geographic Thinking
Abstract
In this article we treat some elements of the Modern Geograhy, a view of the reflections above theheritage of Humbolt and about his followers, who were in expeditions by America along the 19thcentury. Across the work of these scientists it is possible perceive the effort of interconnecting fieldsof the knowledge that were dichotomized by the modern science, the reason and artistic languages.Nowadays, it’s perceptible a way of the Geography in pursuit of a new scientific base to comprehendthe phenomenon complexity. In this context, it is confirmed and revitalized the requirement ofreflections about the naturalists from 19th century.
