The Concept, Status and Trends of the US Military’s Kill Web

Abstract

The development of the US military’s kill web reflects a profound transformation in its combat style and outlines a blueprint for future intelligent warfare. Through an in-depth analysis of the development trajectory and core characteristics of the kill web, its significant advantages in dynamics, multi-dimensionality, synergy, optimization, and resilience are pointed out. This paper discusses the core technologies of the US military’s kill web, as well as the role of projects such as the adapting cross-domain kill-webs (ACK), the system-of-systems technology integration tool chain for heterogeneous electronic systems (STITCHES), and mission-integrated network control (MINC) in promoting the practice of the kill web.
