Angiokeratoma is a capillary vascular malformation, characterized clinically by solitary of multiple papules or plaques. From a clinical point of view, it can show either a generalized and diffuse form of presentation, or all localized one. Clinically, five varieties are generally recognized: 1. solitary papular angiokeratomas, 2.scrotal or vulvar anjiokeratomas, 3.multiple papular and plaque like angiokeratoma circumscriptum, 4.bilateral lesions on the dorsum of toes and fingers, 5.generalized systemic type angiokeratoma corporis diffusum. Isolated mucosal angiokeratoma of the tongue is extremely rare. We report an unusual case of solitary angiokeratoma on the tongue.
