Within the framework of this article, the basic procedures of intra-cultural knowledge transfer are considered: generalization and specialization. The purpose of this study is clarifying the understanding of the essence of these procedures, taking into account the typologization of knowledge transfer situations. The article also describes in detail the method of identifying the implementation of generalization and specialization: the proposed method is based on the consideration of the dynamics of the field description of the concept "man", which acts as a unit of knowledge transfer, in the Russian and Chinese pictures of the world. The author comes to the conclusion about the universality of generalization and specialization procedures for the process of knowledge transfer in the Russian and Chinese language pictures of the world. The scientific novelty of this article lies in the description of the specialization and generalization procedures of the transfer of knowledge in the existential sphere of cognition, such studies have not been conducted before. The research results can be used by cognitive linguists to deepen their understanding of the process of knowledge transfer, as well as by scientists working in the field of intercultural communication and translation to clarify the process of transferring knowledge between carriers of different linguistic cultures. In addition, the article contributes to the development of comparative-historical linguistics, since it examines the diachronic aspect of a cognitive phenomenon in different pictures of the world.
