One of the most relevant problems of modern linguistics is the problem of idiostyle of the writer and distinguishing the idiostyle dominant in the works. As a result of analysis of novels by popular American writer Dan brown we came to the conclusion that the idiostyle dominant feature is the contrast of the stories, which are based on the idea of binary appositive as the organizing principle of the universe. Contrasting oppositions, passing through the whole stories are designated by us as «line semantic oppositions». The works of Dan Brown contain such a dichotomy of science/religion, the supernatural/ natural; spiritual/material values; destruction/creation, life/death, order/ chaos; aminocentesis and masculinities religious pictures of the world. For their implementation Dan Brown uses antonymy, opposition of various types (systemic and individually-author’s lexical antonyms, inter part of speech and inter-level opposition). The subjects of works of Dan Brown are built on the principle of contrast, «attract» all these antonymy, opposition, i.e. represent the scope of antonymy attractions.
