TIME OF CHANGES: RUSSIAN EDUCATION PARTICULAR FEATURES AND PROBLEMS

Abstract

Education system in Russia is full of drawbacks. Main ways to remove them are discussed. From secondary school up, current approaches to vocational guidance of young people should be changed. Possession of knowledge and its practical application should have priority over carrier. Paid education badly impacts the competition principle of admission to educational institutions. Candidates to university/college admission should be differentiated according to the level of knowledge and study motivation. Contents of textbooks should correspond to actual situationin respective branch or knowledge application field. Qualitative programs are to be created and used to teach beginning entrepreneurs.
