The design strategy and implementation method of Ga-based material in the anode of advanced lithium-ion battery: A mini review
Abstract
In modern society, there is an increasing demand for energy storage solutions with superior energy density. Due to the low capacity of commercial graphite anode (372 mAh/g), high capacity and high stability anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have become a research hotspot. Among all kinds of anode materials, Ga-based materials have attracted much attention due to their high theoretical capacity and self-healing properties. These characteristics make it very suitable for the anode of high-performance LIBs and drive its commercialization. In this review, we analyzed the modification strategy, the feasibility of Ga-based lithium batteries, and how to utilize the electrochemical properties of Ga efficiently, to provide some insights into the design of high-performance batteries.
