UK «East of Suez policy»
Abstract
The author analyses the UK foreign policy in the Gulf region and makes the conclusion that the «East of Suez policy» is gradually returning into British foreign strategy. According to the updated concept London is going to extend military and trading ties with the Middle East and Gulf countries. In April, 2018 the UK opened a new military base in Bahrain which will serve not only as a sign of growing UK influence in the region but also will be ensuring British interests in the Indo-Pacific region
