AS CARACTERÍSTICAS COMPORTAMENTAIS EMPREENDEDORAS E O DESEMPENHO INDIVIDUAL: Um Estudo na Indústria Criativa da Publicidade
Abstract
Within the theoretical framework of the administration, it was observed that two equally large and complex concepts deserve studies, particularly with respect to their intercessions. The concepts are: entrepreneurship, focusing on entrepreneurial behavioral characteristics, and individual job performance. These concepts were studied together within a sector of the creative industry, advertising, where working professionals are constantly called upon to take entrepreneurial attitudes, combining creative resource (idea generation) and economic (adding value to goods / services produced) in addition to being charged for better performance. There are few studies aimed at researching the entrepreneurial behavioral characteristics and individual performance at work, and this study is a contribution to the expansion of scientific knowledge in all the concepts used in this study. Based on this theoretical framework, this research tried to answer the following question: to what extent entrepreneurial behavioral characteristics (CCEs) and individual performance relate having as context the creative advertising industry in Fortaleza? This research is characterized as a quantitative and described study with a probabilistic sample of 133 respondents. The results show that the professionals have predominantly entrepreneurial characteristics: Search for information and Commitment to employment contracts. Overwork affect the time that each individual needs to reflect on the best way to play their role in the organization. Another issue identified is that most entrepreneurial characteristics are positively related to the factors that make individual performance.
