Abstract

The article presents the essence of theme park with particular emphasis on the theme parks as a complementary element forming and complementing a cultural tourism. Area of interest took over Poland and Europe. The theoretical part describes drafted aspects of the examined issues concerning concepts, definitions, models and the character of the functioning. The practical part presents the results of own research concerning tourist behavior, the perception of visited tourist attractions and profile of visitors.
