Inflammatory pseudotumor of the urınary bladder: Case report

Abstract

Inflammatory pseudotumor is a benign non epithelial rare tumor in the urinary bladder. Despite their benign behaviour, they are frequently misinterpreted as leiomyosarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma in preoperative biopsies. In this case; we reported a 46-year old man presented with macroscopic hematuria. Imaging studies revealed large polypoid mass in the bladder lumen. Cystoscopic examination and transurethral tumor resection were performed. Histopathological examinations of the tumor revealed inflammatuar pseudotumor. We decided to present this case because of the having rare radiological images in the literatüre and to contribute to radiological diagnosis.
