Work, life, illness and the academy: a personal reflection

Abstract

For Rhonda Breit, surviving illness was a learning experience in its own right: “Understanding how to ‘return to self’ after a life-altering experience is a form of knowledge everyone needs to develop, particularly in our ageing society”.
