The Formation of Sacred Numbers According to Eastern Worldview
Abstract
This study gives information about the Kazak and Chinese numerology, and the history of numeric system in Eastern cultures. The focus of the study is on the development of the numbers 1,3,7,9 in Kazak and Chinese numeric system, their characteristics, spiritual connotations and cognitive nature, as well as their common features in compliance with the general Eastern thought. It is possible to view the similar characteristics of these numbers as evidence for the partnership between these two century-long neighbouring countries in terms of their worldview, philosophy, culture.
