Legal Aspects of Brain Death

Abstract

Brain death is a medical diagnosis. A person who is diagnosed as brain dead is considered dead both medically and legally. Medical support is required in organ donor cases, the purpose of medical support is organ preservation. There is no indication for medical support in patients who will not be organ donors.
