Officialisation de la langue amazighe en Algérie : impact sur les attitudes et représentations sociolinguistiques de quelques locuteurs algériens

Abstract

This contribution focuses on the analysis of the latestsociolinguistic developments in the Amazigh language in Algeria. By examining the language attitudes of Berber and Arabic speakers, we will try to understand how the representations of this language change in the context of its “officialization”. In other words, how does the officialization” of this language modify the attitudes of the speakerstowards this language ? What underpins this change in attitudes and representations of Algerian speakers ?
