This study was conducted to investigate the students’ preferences for extracurricular activities on campus and influencing factors. 210 students participated in the research, from three major groups at Vinh University including: Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Foreign Languages. Data were collected by using a 5-point Likert scale in questionnaire and personal interviews. After analyzing the data, the results show that students were most interested in professional workshops and events. Additionally, students' interest in extracurricular activities was influenced by factors such as timing, frequency, length, location, policy, and personal interest and hobby. Based on the research result, the article presents proposed recommendations with the hope of providing effective organization of extracurricular activities on campus for students.
