Method for evaluation of heat-shielding properties of clothing materials and their packages
Abstract
The method for measuring the parameters of heat-shielding properties of clothing materials and their packages and automated plant are developed.. The research materials and their packages are used for the manufacturing of fire fighting garments. The methodology for determining the thermal conductivity and thermal resistance of clothing materials and their packages on the method of stationary heat mode is developed. The formulas for measuring these parameters are based on the relations describing the processes in the parts of the plant and the material studied in the tests. The automated system for measuring the heat-shielding properties of clothing materials and their packages allows testing materials in climatic conditions as close as possible to the real conditions of their operation. Analysis of research results allows to determine that the deviation of the coefficient of thermal conductivity and thermal resistance values of the proposed method does not exceed 6 %.
