Calibration of terrestrial laser scanner

Abstract

Terrestrial laser scanning is very powerful and advanced geodetic surveying technique, which has lately made significant progress in its development and improvement. For results of laser scanning to be accurate and reliable, beside the list of other conditions, it is necessary to have calibrated laser scanner. Calibration of laser scanner is very important element of the whole laser scanning process and it is necessary to give this element special attention. In this paper authors try to describe different procedures of calibration of terrestrial laser scanners.
