Abstract

Since Ross (1967), a major concern in investigations of syntactic movement has focused on island constraints. This paper tries to provide a brief overview of the main stream analysis of these phenomena, pointing out how the Minimalist Program brings interesting and different treatment possibilities to this kind of data.
