Egyptian terry fabrics have a great competitive advantage at the international level, especially in international seven- and five-star hotels, because of their great reputation, especially in the case of using long-staple Egyptian cotton, and new cellulosic raw materials have appeared at the commercial level, such as modal, so the research aims to use yarns Modal is a warp and pile in pile fabrics because of its characteristics that make it of great value and importance among other types of new cellulose raw materials The production of drying fabrics of various types has been closely linked to cotton raw materials, as it is one of the most materials that fulfill the functional requirements of these fabrics, such as absorbing liquids, moisture, durability when wet, and tactile properties suitable for skin friction, as well as its tolerance to many different stresses in washing operations and daily use. repeated, and the color fastness of the dyes with repeated washing, and friction upon use, and the research has reached the production of terry fabrics using modal yarns and a study of the different properties of the produced fabrics and a comparison between the produced terry fabrics and cotton terry fabrics. Whereas, modal is produced by the Austrian Lenzing Company from beech wood, and according to the statistics of the company producing the modal fiber manufacturing process, it is characterized by low negative impacts on the environment because the recycling rate in the production of modal is exceptionally high compared to similar fiber production processes.
