n the current study, some mereological studies wit hin the philosophy of chemistry having nearly a history approximately twe nty-five years will be introduced and some information will be presented about how some s ubjects of chemistry can be mereologically studied. The chemistry-related sampl es of were attempted to be constructed. The term mereology originated from the Greek word of mereo meaning a part is the theory of investigating the relationships of the parts within a whole with each other and with the whole itself. The origin of mereology dated back to the writings of Plato and Aristotle. In the current study, holistic approach of philosophy was adopted and theoretical analysis was conducted by using descriptive survey model. The problem of the study is how the theory of mereology will be administered to the realities of chemistry. In the discussion section, samples concerning mereological approach in chemistry instruction are presented and some suggestions are made.
