В статье рассматриваются проблемы адаптации студентов-иностранцев в процессе изучения украинского языка. Для оптимального прохождения этого процесса даются рекомендации по организации обучения, советы преподавателям, которые работают с иностранными студентами. Анализируются стадии социокультурной адаптации, обеспечивающие успешное обучение в новой культурной среде. Особое внимание уделяется рассмотрению психолого-педагогических трудностей, с которыми сталкиваются иностранные студенты в первый год обучения в Украине. Значительное внимание уделяется проблеме создания учебных материалов, способствующих социокультурной адаптации иностранных студентов в Украине. Social and cultural adaptation of foreign students in the process of studying of the Ukrainian language. The article considers the problem of adaptation of foreign students who come to study in Ukraine. The teaching of foreigners in our country is one of the most effective forms of cultural and scientific collaboration that confirms the authority of Ukraine on the international scientific area. For optimal transmission of this process provides recommendations for training, advice to teachers who work with foreign students, formulate the requirements for teaching and methodical literature, summarizes the experience of educational assistance and characterized pedagogical tools of formation of household vocabulary of foreign students in the process of adaptation to the Ukrainian society. The important factor of successful foreign students’ studying in Ukrainian higher institution is their adaptation to culture, traditions and peculiarities of Ukrainians’ way of life. Linguistic environment influence on the foreigners’ adaptation most of all. The knowledge in Ukrainian language is very important condition of foreigners’ study in Ukrainian higher institution, but this problem is still debatable. For foreigners’ successful adaptation it’s necessary to form teaching process taking into consideration ethno pedagogical concepts, techniques and methods, factors that influence the system of education: geographical, economical, national, historical, cultural, and religious. For using all these elements the proper preparation of teacher, his self-education, proper knowledge are needed. Thus, every ethnos has its methods in pedagogical process used for teaching foreign students. For effective studying teacher has to take into consideration student’s age, religion, to stimulate motivation, to permit independent student’s work, to form linguistic situations and topics that are interesting for audience, to form cognitive need for foreign students. Thus, the steps of the socio-cultural adaptation that ensure successful learning in a new cultural environment is analyzed in details. Particular attention is paid to the psychological and pedagogical challenges faced by foreign students in the first year of studying in Ukraine. Considerable attention is paid to the problem of creation of educational materials that promote socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students in Ukraine.
