The purpose of this research is to analyze the studies published in national journals based on the institutional logics approach. Based on a survey of publications in journals from A1 to A4 in Qualis CAPES (2017-2020), 33 articles were found, which were analyzed from the perspective of bibliometric characteristics and the themes identified. Among the main results, it was observed that 18 of the 33 studies were based on the institutional logics initially proposed, according to Friedland and Alford (1991), while another 15 manuscripts explored complementary institutional logics, such as the military, managerial, patrimonialist elite, interventionist, natural maternity, socially shared values, humanitarianism, ceremonial, collectivist, structuring, corruption, business, appropriation, consequence, communicative and discursive institutional logics, which unfolded from the specific segments addressed in each study. It was found that studies on institutional logics still offer a wide variety of possibilities for analysis and that their approach is still quite fragmented in terms of journals, authors and institutions. The contribution of the theme is in providing insights for professionals from various areas such as management accountants, administrators, economists, etc., enabling them to understand and become more involved in the management and institutionalization of change, as well as a greater understanding of the pressures suffered by the organization in the social context and the mechanisms that influence its behavior.
