IOT: an approach from smart city to smart university

Abstract

It is contextualized from the Internet of Things and its vital importance for Smart Cities and the emerging concept of Smart University. The latter with their characteristics: Smart Governance, Smart People, Smart Living, Smart Mobility, Smart Economy and Smart Environment. The purpose of this article is to present a systematic review of the literature on the concept and characteristics of smart universities published in the scientific literature, from which emphasis is placed on the role of IoT, as a fundamental element in the conception and implementation of projects and initiatives that influence the successful development of Universities.
